I’m a Ukrainian-Swedish artist originally from Donetsk. I moved to Kyiv in 2012 and then to Sweden in 2016, where I spent more than seven years working in the game industry.
I’ve been drawing and making things for as long as I can remember, but for many years art was something I did on the side. I spent more than 12 years working as a game artist before coming back to painting in 2021, initially combining it with my full-time job. Over time, painting started taking up more and more of my time and headspace, until in 2025 I decided to leave the corporate world and become a full-time independent artist.
My work moves between abstraction and figuration, with the human figure becoming increasingly important. I’m interested in instability — not just as something that happens around us, but as an environment we learn to live in. I explore how it can affect the way we see ourselves and others, our memories, our sense of identity, and our feeling of where we belong.
These days, painting is basically my way of trying to make sense of all of that.

Я малюю і щось майструю, скільки себе пам’ятаю, але багато років мистецтво залишалося для мене чимось, чим я займалася у вільний час. Понад 12 років я працювала художницею в ігровій індустрії, а у 2021 році після довгої перерви знову повернулася до живопису, спочатку поєднуючи його з основною роботою. Поступово живопис почав займати все більше мого часу і простору в голові, і у 2025 році я вирішила залишити корпоративний світ та присвятити себе мистецтву.
У своїй роботі я рухаюся між абстракцією та фігуративним живописом, і з часом людська фігура займає в ній дедалі важливіше місце. Мене цікавить нестабільність як середовище, в якому ми вчимося жити. Я досліджую, як вона впливає на те, як ми бачимо себе та інших, на наші спогади, відчуття власної ідентичності та приналежності.
Зараз живопис для мене — це, по суті, спосіб розібратися в усьому цьому.
Artist statement
I left Ukraine in 2016, but my connection to it has never been simple or static. The war, distance, and the loss of access to places that once felt familiar have changed the way I think about stability, memory, and a sense of inner balance.
My work grows out of trying to understand what it means to live with instability, how it affects us, what it does to our sense of self, and how we keep going when the things we rely on are constantly changing.
I work between abstraction and figuration, with figurative elements becoming increasingly important in my paintings. I build my works through layering, erasing, and rebuilding, using acrylic, spray paint and pastel. I’m interested in forms that feel compressed, suspended or partly fragmented, things that seem to be trying to hold themselves together while also changing.
For me, painting is a way of making sense of these experiences without trying to illustrate them literally. It is a space to explore uncertainty, resilience, and the quiet effort of finding some kind of stability within yourself when the world around you no longer feels stable.
